The 80's was the era in which crack cocaine hit the city streets the hardest resulting in the down fall of already struggling families. The Beasleys were sadly effected by this epidemic and now Bryson (the son) has taken matters into his own hands to stop the linage curse of family separation.

That's what Quita's friend Elma told her as it pertained to her nasty situation with James. After her friends told her lies on him, she end up losing the best man she ever had. To her defense, she take out child support to please her bitterness.
